SLIME!!!

I love the feeling of slime running through my fingers and remember playing with this same concoction when I was a kid. This slime recipe is interesting to play with because it can behave like a liquid and a solid, depending on quickly your hands move with it. The faster you tug on in or squish it, the more solid it seems. All you need for this one is corn starch and water.
In a bowl combine 1 cup of corn starch with 1/2 cup of water. We added a few drops of green food coloring to our water before we mixed the two together so our slime was a little more slimy looking.
Once the two are mixed together pour it out on your playing surface and let the fun begin. The slime is fun to squish around in your hands and to watch how it behaves when you let it drip through a fork or a slatted spoon.
Although it looks pretty messy, it is actually easy to clean up with a cloth and water when you are finished playing and you can just give your little ones (and your own) hands a rinse in the sink.

Now go get messy!
