Patriotic Strawberries

These were probably the easiest things I have ever "cooked" and every one of them was scarfed up. If you want to make some too, here's what you do:
♥Buy a pack of strawberries and a package of white chocolate chips. Also pick up food coloring and shortening if you don't have any.
♥Wash the strawberries and pat them dry with a paper towel.
♥Line a cookie sheet with foil.
♥Take two microwavable bowls and divide the bag of white chocolate chips in two, filling one of the bowls a bit more then the other.
♥Add 2 teaspoons of shortening to each bowl
♥Microwave the bowl with the larger amount of chips, stopping every 15 seconds to stir, until melted.
♥Dip your strawberries in the white chocolate, leaving a red strip
♥Lay on your cookie sheet until hardened. (I sat mine in front of a little fan to speed things up)
♥Add a few drops of blue food coloring to your second bowl
♥Microwave just like the other one
♥This time it didn't turn into nice melted chocolate, instead it was a solid clump. I don't know if it has to do with the food coloring or what. Feel free to give me any tips on this one!
♥I then added a splash of milk to the chocolate, stirred it and it turned nice and smooth again.
♥Take a spoon and drizzle over the strawberries, giving them stripes
♥Give yourself a high five cause you just made a good looking dessert to share with friends and it took you like 20 minutes and no oven was required, Yeah!

Enjoy!!
