Edible Playdough

We ended our week of playdough fun by making an edible playdough and is was so much fun. This was the 1st time I cooked with Scarlett and she was such a great helper. She helped pour the ingredients in and stirred everything in the bowl, it was a really fun experience.

Oatmeal Playdough
2 cups smooth peanut butter
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups powdered milk
2/3 cup honey
Optional-Coconut, sprinkles, chocolate chips, red hots, nuts or whatever your heart desires
Mix ingredients until combined.
Roll into balls and store in air tight container.

We added coconut to our mixture and it was tasty. I have also tried one similar to this recipe that included raisins and sunflower seeds, they make a nice little protein pick me up in the afternoon.

That dirty happy face says it all. She loved playing with it, slicing it with her playdough toys, and loved taste testing it. I would call this one a hit and it gives us a nice little container of snacks for later.
